“Biryani ” is a Hindi name for “Spicy Rice”. It is a mixture of typical spices + vegetable ( + meat/sea food/egg if non-vegetarian dish). You will get different types of Biryani at any Indian restaurant at abroad. Local ingredients and preparation methods give specific aroma and flavour to the local dish. Different famous Biryani are Hydrabadi Biryani,Bombay Biryani,etc.
Biryani can be vegetarian or non-vegetarian (Meat /Sea food/Egg).
