~ Lyricist Gulzar Honored With Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Legendary Indian Cinema Lyricist, Filmmaker  & Poet Mr. Gulzar will receive Indian Cinema’s Highest award, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.  Academy/Oscar award winner for Jai Ho’ song  with Mr. A.R.Rahman from famous Slumdog Millionaire (2010) film along with many national and international awards.

Over 5 decades, this 79 year old legend  has penned down thousands of songs and shayaries, which are used in Indian films, TV series  , Plyas and dialogues.

This prestigious award is  honored in the name of father of Indian Cinema icon Mr. Dadasaheb Phalke, who made first Indian filmRaja Harishchandra‘ in year 1913 at Pune/Mumbai.
