~ Happy Holi : Celebrate Festival of Colours

Festival of Holi is celebrated on 26th and 27th March 2013 in India. Holi  is a 2 day Hindu/Indian   festival of colours to celebrate Unity in Diversity, Love, Togetherness and Happiness. People from all communities come together to celebrate.Families, relatives and Friends hug each other and throw/put colours (made up of flower petals and some special colourful plant leaves/stem). There is special music (dedicated to Holi), Devotional songs, Dance, Special sweet-milk drinks and Delicious food. Holi has Cultural, Social and Biological significance.  It also has mythological , spiritual and historical reasons to celebrate. Famous Holi  is celebrated in Mathura, where Lord Krishna was born. Here it is a symbol of commemoration of the divine love of Radha (Krishna devotee) for Lord Krishna.
