During 1920-30s Economic Crisis in west, fat model with red dress selling Cold drink was released on Christmas winter to woo customers, it got popular so trend is continued next year which ultimately became Santa Claus figure giving gifts to kids.
So, today’s fat-red Santa Claus was started as a marketing model to sell chilled soft drinks in winter cold where sales are naturally down!! Then attached to some ancient European Saint story giving gift to kids!(?)
Same way western greeting card industry discovered and exploited Friendship Day, Mothers Day, Valentine’s day, Anniversary, etc to fool people and sale their cards!
Only stupid ignorant Indians fall in their trap!
