~ Indian Sweets Rasgulla and Rasmalai Recipes

Rasgulla (means Syrup- sphere ) is an Indian sweet made up mainly from milk and sugar. This is a flavour from West Bengal state  (Bengali ) at eastern part of India.

Time require: 40- 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cow’s Milk
  • Lemon Juice (to add into milk and make it – Paneer/Cottage Cheese/ Chena )
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Arrowroot powder  Or  “All-purpose powder” ( for thickening  of balls/Rasgullas)
  • Rose Essence or Cardamom powder  (for taste/flavour)

Rasmalai is also similar (but slightly different) kind of sweet but here the milk balls/sphere  is served in sweet milk instead of sugar syrup as in case of Rasgulla.
